for those that are less mobile, recovering from surgery or have other issues, injuries or generally have less energy - far less challenging yet still helping with mobility and strengthening of the muscles
and joints and still gets your heart rate up too so all in all an easier class but still loads of fun!
RAZZLE DAZZLE - 45 minuteEASY
FUN DANCE CLASS TO SING AND DANCE ALONG TO YOUR FAVOURITE MUSICAL SHOWSTOPPER OF BOTH STAGE ANDSCREENWe will cover all sorts from Bombay
Dreams, Hairspray, Dreamgirls, Top Hat and
Tails, Pulp Fiction to Greatest Showman, LaLa Land and all the Disney tracks and old movies too. This will be general
dance and exercise rather than just Ballroom and Latin and much easier choreography; you can sing along too. I
shall be sorting some fun easy choreography so you don’t have to think about the steps too much and can just enjoy the
music and it will be high energy. We will use props so you will be Ginger Rogers with your hat and cane!
FitSteps is the hot new exercise workout devised by Strictly's Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe
in conjuction with swimmer Mark Foster, who competed on Strictly, who have taken the best
of Ballroom and Latin, mixing it with the latest, proven ways to get fit FAST and deliver the most exciting, fun, FAB-U-LOUS
exercise class ever… burning calories in a class, whilst toning, shaping and strengthening your body, core, muscles
and joints. Perfect to help health issues like bad knees, backs, stress and anxiety too. Different level classes to
suit all ages to 80! Perfect for mums, new mums wanting to get their figures back, people on weight loss programmes,
retired and semi-retired people and people who just love to socialise, love music and love to dance and have fun.
With FitSteps you will tone, shape and lose
weight and with high impact and high intensity moves can even burn up to 600 calories in a class which is the equivalent of
an intensive circuit training class.... . Hence losing weight. This amazingly fun workout is based upon all your favourite
"Strictly" dances like the Waltz, Jive, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, American Smooth to name a few so you will
learn some of the proper steps that the professionals perform whilst getting both a cardio and/or non cardio workout, both
high and/or low intensity.
You will be enjoying the music and dance elements so much you will not even realise
you are exercising and yet the results are extremely effective. All dances can be adapted to low or high impact moves with
low or high intensity thus being suited to all ages and abilities and all levels of fitness and health including those with
health issues that will improve through exercise.
FitSteps is suited to ages 8 to 80, fully fit and a regular gym trainer or retired
with a false knee... everyone can enjoy this incredible, social and fun workout so call me for more information so I can recommend
the most suitable class for you to join with like minded similar level participants...... and ladies and gents you DO NOT
NEED A PARTNER as this is all danced solo!
No more groaning "oh no I really should get down to the
gym" now you don't have to be surrounded by fitness fiends that make you feel uncomfortable and inadequate (unless, of
course, you want to be in a class full of super fit people, in which case you pick my advanced class) pick FitSteps
and attend a slower or medium paced class with similar aged and ability people - come to to FitSteps instead of the
gym and work at the pace that suits you! You even get the opportunity to attend Masterclasses held by the Strictly stars
Ian and Natalie and can attend the Christmas Event at Blackpool should you so wish, to meet up with oher FitSteppers from
all over the world.
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING?
wear comfortable loose clothing that enables you move without restriction like leggins and a T shirt or similar and a pair
of light-weight trainers tthat do not have a rubber or sticky sole - you need to be able to pivot and swivel on your balls
of your feet and we don't want to damage your knees so they must not stick to the floor. Remember this is a dance
EXERCISE class not a dance class so no latin or ballroom shoes please. Split sole dancer trainers are perfect if you
have them but not jazz shoes as you will be (at some point) jumping/bouncing and so need the thick sole to absorbe the impact.
Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated and, most importantly, your sense of humour and a smile!
Please arrive wearing your face mask. You may remove this once class has started.
Please bring hand gel although the various venues are providing this at the entraces and this must be used on arrival and
departure and you must follow the individual hall's In and Out routes where applicable. I will be zapping you with a
forehead thermometer on arrival and noting the readings for track and trace. All students must register for each class
even if it is half an hour before by contacting me by phone, text, whatsapp or email. You will all be dancing in your
own space which will be marked out and where possible, for maximum ventilation doors/windows will be left open whatever the
weather! If you have a cough please do not come even if you have paid for your class - replace it with a zoom class instead.
Be Covid safe - keep your distance socially and do not be tempted to hug your classmates! Thank you.
I trained in ballet, tap and modern, jazz
and also ballroom and Latin American classes with the famous Peggy Spencer. As the years progressed I started competitive
dancing “A la Strictly” as a Junior, then gave up ballet and modern to concentrate on the Ballroom and Latin American
competitions, I entered and won Pre-champ competitions and then moved on to Amateur Open status having private lesson and
being judged by many of the legends like Len Goodman and Doreen Freeman. When I was introduced to FitSteps it was therefore
a no-brainer that I should qualify as one of their instructors so I am now retuning to my dance passion as an instructor
to pass on my knowledge and passion for Ballroom and Latin and "Dancing yourself Fit"
I qualified as a Gold graded instructor in December 2018 ..... I run 7 classes in villages
and towns in East Sussex and Kent both day time and evening – I offer classes for different levels so that no
one feels out of their comfort zone and the speed of the class and music choice is geared to the participants. For those that
have maybe danced before or who go to gym classes and are quick at picking up choreography I coach a faster paced class so
you get challenged too. Speak to me about the best class for you. My slowest classes are Battle Memorial
Hall class on a Monday at 11.45 and Robertsbridge Village Hall 7pm Tuesday. I also offer 4 classes a week on zoom and technique
classes too as well as private and small group classes at my studio at home in Hastings.

steps of the dances so you will soon pick up the routines.

Fitsteps Ad hoc classes are £7 cash per class but if you pay 4 weekly
into my bank it is £25.
Razzle Dazzle Ad hoc classes
are £5 cash per class but if you pay 4 weekly into my bank it is £21
Both classes Ad hoc is £12 per session or if paid into my bank 4 weekly £44
The Zoom classes are £25 for one class a week by bank transfer or £35 for two classes
or £45 for unlimited classes to be paid 4 weekly. Private and small group classes are £25 per hour. The
Ballroom and Latin learn to dance with a partner ready for your next formal function or wedding is £40pp for the two
hour class on a Sunday for a 4 week course and must be booked and paid in advance. A course will comprise 4 lessons
all on the same dance so you learn each dance really well.
